In July 2024, Lisa collaborated with Borderlines at The New Vic theatre, and was commissioned to create a performance piece as part of an exploratory grant from Keele University Institute of Social Inclusion (KiSI). Working closely with the coalfield communities, especially girls and women including the North Staffs Miners’ Wives Action Group, ‘The Miner Birds’ is an immersive outdoor theatre performance set against the backdrop of a replication of the 1993 Trentham Pit occupation, and commemorating their 40 year history as an action group.
